Top 10 Best Selling Samsung Phones and their Prices in Nigeria for 2015

It’s as true as it sounds, exciting and fascinating as it looks. We took a detailed journey to figure out the most desired and demanded Samsung phones of 2015. If your phone is not listed here, just know that you are not among the 5million crazy Nigerian smartphone lovers of 2015, you better work hard to ensure your phone makes the list next year. Samsung has been super brilliant this year, they know what we like and we will never stop asking for more. For me, am looking forward to Samsung Wearable smart phones, now that sounds ridiculous. While Samsung bothers about that for 2016, lets bask under the euphoria of what we have today. In an ascending order, lets take a look at Samsung’s most demanded phones and tablets in Nigeria for 2015.

10. Samsung S6
Since the dawn of the smartphone wars, there have been basic truths about Samsung: They’re made of flimsy plastic, their cameras can’t keep up with the iPhone’s, and their modified Android software is ugly and intolerably cluttered.
With the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which arrived Naija in April, none of that is true anymore. I am not afraid to say it: I love Samsung’s new phones, maybe even more than my own iPhone 6. Like a child who just found out that Santa isn’t real, I have spent the past week questioning everything I know. The price of Samsung S6 edge in Nigeria is about N166, 000 while the price of Samsung S6 Duos in Nigeria is about 130,000. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. 9      9. Samsung Galaxy Prime 4
Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The new improved processor offers better graphics, multitasking, and speed in the Galaxy Grand Prime that is unmatched by the original Galaxy Grand as well as its successors.
The RAM and internal storage remain the same with the Galaxy Grand Prime as they were with the original Galaxy Grand: you get 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. At the same time, however, Samsung is the king of micro SD card slots.

You still get that option with the Galaxy Grand Prime, which should be sufficient for photos and documents. Keep in mind, however, that most apps you download to your phone won’t be allowed the right to move to your micro SD card – so you may want to save your local storage on the device (all 8GBs) for apps.
The price of Samsung Galaxy Prime 4 in Nigeria ranges between 42,000 to 50,000 naira in Nigeria. It is readily available in major online phone stores in Lagos, Nigeria. However, these prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. To know their prices, click on the individual links.

8    8. Samsung Galaxy Tab A
Looks aside, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 hardly seems like much of an upgrade over the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to every android loving Nigerian. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor compared to the previous 1GHz processor and has the same 1.5GB of RAM. It even includes the same 3-megapixel rear camera. Samsung has revealed its new 8-inch and 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S2 models, and they're considerably different from last year. The price of Samsung Galaxy Tab A in Nigeria is about N78, 000. 7. Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

Samsung Phones, Smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime offers impressive performance thanks to the built in Quad-core processor that makes sure apps, movies and more run smoothly. The Core Prime is just 8.8mm thick so fits comfortably in your hand or pocket and the on board 5 Megapixel camera is sure to capture great photos which will look the part on the 4.5” display. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is a 2014 refresh of the Galaxy Grand line, the first to come with Android 4.4.4 (Kit Kat) out of the box. It actually features a 5.0-inch screen, which is what the first generation Galaxy Grand came with but smaller than the 5.25-inch screen on the Galaxy Grand 2. Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The Price of Samsung Galaxy Core Prime in Nigeria is about 35,000 Naira. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. To know their prices, click on the individual links.

6. Samsung Galaxy Ace 4

Technically, Galaxy Ace 4 is the most affordable high range smart phone ever produced by Samsung, but Samsung's actually downgraded many of its specifications rather than improve them in the interim, leaving the Ace 3 looking and feeling like the superior handset. Its 4-inch 480x800 resolution display is a little smaller and has less detail but its compact dimensions will certainly suit many phone users who are resisting the move towards bigger devices. The screen itself is pretty good for a device of its class. While not boasting the best brightness of phones, we found its color accuracy to be acceptable and it performed fairly well in brightly lit conditions. Sure, it offers Android 4.4.2, but the 512MB RAM and the 1GHz dual-core processor in the 3G model leaves a lot to be desired. However, Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 LTE model features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The price of Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 in Nigeria ranges between 15,900 Naira and above, depending on the exchange rate of Nigerian Naira. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. It sports a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera can record 720p videos at 30fps. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage, expandable via micro SD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth. The Galaxy Tab E tablet is backed by a 5000mAh battery. It measures 241.9x149.5x8.5mm and weighs 490 grams. The company is expected to introduce a 3G or 4G variant of the tablet as well. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 is designed for those looking for a tablet with a massive display that they will not need to break a bank to acquire. Featuring a huge 9.6-inch HD display, the slate is powered by a quad-core processor and brings along with it a significantly large battery. The price of Samsung Galaxy Tab E in Nigeria is about N36, 000. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. To know their prices, click on the individual links.

4.     Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Galaxy Note 4 is the best large phone on the market. It's a device you'll be proud to whip out in public, thanks to its elegant design, robust build, beautiful screen, impressive battery life and solid camera. It also excels from a productivity standpoint, offering seamless multitasking and stylus functionality that's as smooth as I've ever seen on a smartphone. And despite its large size, Samsung has nailed the one-handed experience better than the competition. There's certainly a benefit to drawing from years of experience in this category: What began as an oddity three years ago has now evolved into a powerful tool at the top of its class. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung's latest flagship tablet and successor to the Galaxy Note 3. The Note is not getting bigger this year. It keeps the screen-size at 5.7-inch, but upped the resolution to QHD for a more brilliant screen. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is built for high performance with cutting-edge 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. The Price of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in Nigeria ranges between 120,000 to 126,000 naira, depending on your location and exchange rate. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. 3.  Samsung S6 Duos
This is simply a replication of the Samsung S6.The dual SIM variant of the Galaxy S6 might not be available in more than a small handful of regions around the world. Now, it seems it was built for countries whose citizens are notorious for having multiple lines. That includes the usual 5.1.1 improvements, with updates to security and performance, some UI changes such as the option to remove the Quick Connect and S Finder toggles from the notification shade and a wallpaper parallax effect, and support for camera features like shutter speed control. These features might not mean a lot to Nigerians, instead, the dual sim feature attracted them. The price of Samsung Galaxy Duos in Nigeria is expected to be in the region of other high galaxy phones. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. 2.     Samsung Galaxy S5
It has an enhanced screen, processor and camera plus an improved OS, not to mention applications like the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor. But these are all incremental changes that does not just allow it to keep pace with the competition rather than firmly ahead of it. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is an excellent Android phone that combines a near-perfect display, powerful camera and unique fitness features in a water-resistant design. Samsung Galaxy S5 is Sammy's new flagship smartphone and successor to the Galaxy S4. It is not as ground breaking as anticipated, but still comes with enough new features to entice consumers. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a fingerprint reader for unlocking and authenticating PayPal payments. It also features a larger display, a better camera, Nano SIM, is dust and water proof and incorporates heart rate and fitness tracking. The Price of Galaxy S5 in Nigeria is 84,500 Naira. 1.      Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

For most Nigerians, It's hard to say, but I don't think the curved display is a bad thing. The best part is that even without the edge, you've still got, for all intents and purposes, a Galaxy Note 4, with a stylus, power, long battery life and a capable camera. The more we used the Note Edge, the less the edge part seemed to matter: we'd use the shortcuts to apps from the edge, but gradually disabled most of the widgets. Pervasive uses for the curve aren't quite there. What did remain was how catching the display will forever be, if foldable smartphones and tablets are not going to happen. If you liked any of the previous Galaxy Notes, or were at least intrigued by them, then the Galaxy Note Edge deserves the same amount of attention. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD+ 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. It also comes with the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 805. Unlike, the Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge adds a 64GB model instead of just 32GB. The price of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in Nigeria is 160,000 Naira. These prices are valid as at the time of writing this piece. To know their prices, click on the individual links.
